Because seeing a red rose, we perceive the look of happy woman who loved and who is showered with love by her love ones.
When a man gives a red rose to a woman would means that he is conveying to her a message ," Honey, I love and adore you."
So, what is the cat is saying something to the rose. I think he is saying that ," Rose, are you male or female? My human master thinks that you are adored by the woman he loves so much".

The cat replied, " I am a female cat, but everybody thinks that I am male because of my color. I wish I have your color, red rose."
"Aha", replied the rose. " I also thought you are male."
And the rose continued. " Since we female, we both understand that we loved to be adorned and admired. Do tell your human master that when he is giving me away, he should also gives her clothes, jewelry, shoes etc. for her to adorn herself ."
